Sir Anthony Hope Hawkins (February 9, 1863 - July 8, 1933), better known as Anthony Hope was the British novelist, best remembered now for his short novel The Prisoner of Zenda (1894, set in the fabricated kingdom of Ruritania, a prequel The Heart of Princess Osra (a collection of short stories placed around 18C Ruritania) 1896) and the sequel Rupert of Hentzau (1898).
